ANTON DE PASQUALE
Anton de Pasquale is one of Australian motorsport’s most accomplished and respected modern drivers, renowned for his technical precision, qualifying speed, and calm racecraft under pressure. Born and raised in Melbourne, de Pasquale’s racing journey began in karting, where his natural ability quickly became evident and laid the foundation for a successful career in open-wheel and touring car racing. His rise through the ranks accelerated in 2013 when he claimed the Australian Formula Ford Championship, marking him as a standout prospect. Determined to pursue an international pathway, de Pasquale relocated to Europe in 2014 and delivered a dominant season in the Formula Renault 1.6 NEC Championship, securing nine wins from 15 races. His performances earned him selection into the FIA Young Driver Academy, highlighting his potential on the global stage. However, limited opportunities at the next level prompted a return to Australia, where his career would soon flourish. In 2016, de Pasquale entered the Super2 Series with Paul Morris Motorsport. After finishing 11th in his rookie season, he surged to fourth overall in 2017, collecting two wins, six podiums, and a pole position. These results captured the attention of Erebus Motorsport, who signed him for the 2018 Supercars Championship. De Pasquale made an immediate impression in Supercars, most notably with a sensational Top 10 Shootout lap at the Bathurst 1000, which earned him a third-place starting position in his debut at the iconic event. His steady development culminated in 2020 with his maiden Supercars victory in Darwin, confirming his status as a front-running driver. A move to Dick Johnson Racing followed, where de Pasquale enjoyed the most prolific period of his career. In 2021, he amassed six race wins and 11 pole positions, finishing as a championship contender, and backed it up in 2022 with another win, four poles, and a strong fourth place overall finish. Despite a more challenging 2023 season, he demonstrated resilience by returning to victory in Townsville and securing podium finishes in Sydney and at Bathurst. In 2024, de Pasquale added further podiums in New Zealand before signing a multi-year deal with Team 18. Reuniting with former Erebus teammate David Reynolds, he brings proven race-winning experience, leadership, and technical insight to the team as they pursue sustained success in the Supercars Championship. Away from the circuit, de Pasquale maintains a strong connection to fitness and competition through football and cycling, while gaming provides a mental outlet between race weekends. Grounded, analytical, and relentlessly driven, Anton de Pasquale continues to be a cornerstone of Australia’s top-tier motorsport.
